A Wonky Concentric Circle SUNSET! Yippee for Yana
Hi friends! Please join me in welcoming back the oh-so-talented and amazing Yana Smakula! (Please note: our dear friend Yana is Ukrainian. To show support to our brothers and sisters in Ukraine, please see Yana’s post HERE.)
Hello, crafters, this is Yana Smakula for Simon Says Stamp! Welcome back for another Yippee For Yana video!
In this video I’m creating with several new stamp sets from Simon Says Stamp and making encouragement cards! Let’s dive right in.
I started by stamping the Wonky Concentric Circles in black ink onto Neenah Solar White cardstock. This stamp has so much potential! It made me think of a gorgeous sunset by the sea so next I used inks and ink blended a colorful sunset.
I first drew a pencil line separating this background into 2 sections across the sun’s center. I used Mandarin, Honey, and Sunshine to ink blend the sky and Tidepool, Tropic, and Aegean to ink blend the sea. You can also use alcohol markers for this, but this will take a lot of ink. I figured ink-blended was easier and smoother (I do share a Copic example in my video along with some other ink-blended examples).
Next, I used a rectangle die and trimmed the panel out to about 3 ¾ x 5” or a little less. I used the fabulous Bad Day Good Vibes stamp set by CZ and stamped the Bad Day Good Vibes sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink onto white cardstock and cut it out with a coordinating die. I also white heat embossed an additional message for my card.
Finally, I stamped a few seagulls to add movement to the sky. Seagulls comes from my all-time favorite Your Light stamp set.
I assembled everything using foam adhesive squares and embellished my card with a few Aura sequins from Spellbinders.
I hope you feel inspired to play with your Wonky Concentric Circles stamp set. Have fun!

Let’s Taco ’bout Crafting Tasty Tacos: Crafty with Caly!
Hi everyone! It’s Caly Person here today!
I’m sharing a taco card today. It was so much fun to make and I hope you’ll enjoy this post! I used the Build a Taco die to build two fun tacos as the focal point on today’s card.
The taco and toppings are all die-cut from colored cardstock and then ink-blended for shading.
I never thought I’d be talking about tacos and ink-blending taco toppings in a video, ha! It’s so fun! I used the Taco ‘Bout It stamp and die set for the sentiment. Did you know you can get the entire Taco ‘Bout It bundle that includes the Taco ‘Bout It stamp and die set, the Build a Taco die, and sentiment strip sets?
The background is made using ink-blended printer paper and then die-cut with the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Fringe Border die. It makes the background fiesta-festive and colorful! Colors used: Guava, Cheeky, Fairway, Seafoam, and Ocean.
I hope you enjoyed this project! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Caly
