Sweet Holiday Gift Tag Inspiration by Cheiron Brandon!
Hi friends! Happy Wednesday! I’m delighted to welcome back special guest Cheiron Brandon to our blog for an adorable quick tag idea perfect for some sweet tags! Read on to learn more and enjoy!
Hello crafty friends! It’s Cheiron Brandon here and I have a fun tutorial for you for the holidays. I don’t know about you, but I am always wrapping gifts at the last minute. I would much rather spend my free time in the craft room this time of year. I am all about the simple wrapping – tissue paper, cellophane, etc. tied up with some pretty ribbon and a beautiful handmade tag. Today I will be creating a set of tags with you using the Tim Holtz Sizzix Christmas Minis dies.
To create these tags, I started by cutting some Simon Says Stamp Soft Navy card stock using a Tim Holtz Sizzix tag die. Once I cut out the tags, I sprayed them with antique linen Distress Spritz and dried them with a heat tool. I cut out all my gingerbread people and candy canes from the Christmas Minis set and assembled them. Then I inked the edges of the Gingerbread people with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.
I cut round pinked edge labels using the Tim Holtz SIzzix Labels dies, then used a foam blending tool to ink the edges with Honey Bee Metallic Gold Ink. Then I adhered my gingerbread people and candy canes to the labels using foam tape, then set them aside.
To create the striped papers, I used the embossing folder from the Christmas Minis set and inked it on one side (I inked the side that had the black stripes) and then ran a piece of Distress Watercolor cardstock through it. I put my smooth side of the watercolor against the inky side.
Once I created the striped panels and added some messy stitching. I adhered the panels to my tags, added the circular label with the gingerbread people and then added a label from the Christmas Sticker book and some twine from my stash to the top. These are all ready to tie on gifts now for some super quick (but cute!) wrapping.
Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season!

3 Die Cut Tag Ideas You’ve Got to Try! Not a Card with Nina-Marie
Hey there friends, it’s Nina-Marie Trapani here with you and I have a series of festive tags to share with you using our brand new DieCember® collection! DieCember celebrates the love of die cutting and what better way to put those dies to good use than making a set of tags for your holiday gifts!
This frosty duo features the Whirl Bay Leaves die (cut with the new Shimmer Vellum from Simon) and Whirl Holly die set to create a pretty sprig. The dark green cardstock for my sentiment offset the soft neutrals beautifully!
Who doesn’t love snowflakes for the holiday season? This new Grand Pixie Snowflake is a beauty! I layered it onto some fun paper and added some Tim Holtz Confections on top for some sweetness! Again I added a banner sentiment to the tags (these are from the Christmas Cheer stamp and die set).
Finally, my last pair of tags features the gorgeous Snowflake Swirl die which I cut from metallic silver cardstock (have you seen our Holiday Assortment of Matte cardstocks??). The soft purple and blue shades are perfect for not just the holidays, but can be used into the winter months, too! The pretty gems in the center of each snowflake are from the Opal Dazzling Gems mix.
Be sure to watch the video below to learn how I made each one of these lovely tags—they all feature some really awesome dies from our Simon Says Stamp DieCember® collection!

Hi everyone!
It’s Caly Person here today!
I’m sharing a holiday card full of texture and hope you’ll love it! I’ve combined several die-sets to make today’s poinsettia spray.
Today’s card uses the following die sets to paper-piece and layer to create the poinsettia spray
–Tall Poinsettia
–Pine Needle Cluster
–Berry Stems
–Twinkly Lights
WATCH THE VIDEO:
The background uses the Delicate Pine Branches Embossing Folder. It provides subtle texture and carries over the them of sprigs ad branches from the poinsettia spray.
Finally, to finish, I added a sentiment using the Joyeux Noel die. Using some Gold Dazzling Gems add the perfect amount of glam on the sentiment and poinsettia flowers.
I hope you like this card! I hope it inspires you to paper-piece some beautiful holiday cards!
Have a wonderful day!
~Caly
