One Stamp, Five Ways: Always and Forever

Hello friends! It’s 2025 and I’m starting my “one stamp, five ways” monthly guest posts with a very lovey dovey set of cards! I used the Always and Forever stamp and die bundle from the To Be Loved release. Hopefully these cards will get you in the mood for our next holiday that’s just around the corner!
I stamped the two floral corners and some of the other smaller floral stamps with white embossing powder on Arches Cold Press Watercolor Paper. I left just enough room to emboss “always and forever” in the center. I first painted this piece with Daniel Smith watercolors, but I couldn’t get the pink to be dark enough that the white letters showed up well. So I grabbed two of my Karin Brushmarkers and added much more color by touching the tip of the markers with a wet brush to apply.
I attached it to an A2 card base. I then found this cute aqua musical numbers ribbon in my stash that fit perfectly on the top and bottom of the card. I was planning on using patterned paper, but after adding so much pink to the watercolored part, I couldn’t use the striped paper I had planned on using.
I added small green pearls from the Honeybee Gingerbread Pearl Stickers in the center of the flowers and around the flowers. I tied a piece of twine around the top just below the ribbon.
This ended up being my favorite card. I used my “random stamping” technique on it. I stamped all of the small stamps over a piece of white cardstock with Latte PSInk (perfect for no-line coloring). I colored the images in with colored pencils. I used a Gold Uniball for the keys. I used an N2 Copic Marker to add shadows below each image. I used a white Uniball gel pen to add dots in the center of each flower and lines on the hearts.
I cut this piece down with a SSS A2 Thin Frame Die and attached it to a raspberry-colored cardstock card base. I tied some Lawn Fawn Red and Turquoise Twine around the side of the card. I want this twine in every color as it is thin, twirls a lot, and has a waxy finish so you can bend it. I stamped Always and Forever with Versafine Ink and die-cut out with the matching dies. I die-cut two extra of each word and glued the stamped ones over the blank two so they had more depth. I stamped “and” on a small sentiment label die and attached that between them.
I die-cut the large heart from the Always and Forever Wafer dies using a piece of blue cardstock from the 49 & Market Ocean paper pack. I stamped the large heart stamp and a set of the flowers on white cardstock with Versafine Ink. I colored them all in with colored pencils. I made a shaker window over the blue heart by attaching a transparency under the heart frame. I used the white inside of the heart over the blue paper where it would line up with the frame.
I poured some SSS Pretty Pastels Embellishment Mix over the white paper and then attached the heart over it using foam tape strips under it. I punched a hole in the top and tied some dark pink ribbon through it. I used some Honeybee Sweet and Spooky Pearl stickers in the center of the flowers and bow.
I made a box using the Sweethearts Box Die and Cotton Candy cardstock. I used double sided tape to attach all of the edges. I measured the front of the box and cut a piece of striped patterned paper from the Crafter’s Companion Love is in the Air patterned paper and attached it to the front of the box. I love this paper so much – the entire pad is gorgeous!
I stamped two of the flower groupings and two sentiments with Versafine Ink for the front of the box. I colored the flowers in with colored pencils to match the paper. I used a SSS Sentiment Label Die for the first greeting and attached all to the front of the box. I used some light green pearls from the Honeybee Gingerbread Pearl Stickers over the center of the flowers. I tied the same two colors of Lawn Fawn Red and Turquoise Twine wrapped around the box a couple times into a bow at the top.
I embossed a piece of white A2 sized cardstock with the Rainbow Splash Swiss Dots embossing folder. I die-cut the large heart from the Always and Forever Wafer Dies using lavender cardstock and attached it over the top of the card front.
I stamped the heart frame and some of the other flower groupings with Latte PSInk and colored them in with colored pencils. I attached them over the purple heart tucking some of the flowers underneath the edge of the heart frame. I stamped part of the sentiment on a Sentiment Label Die and added both sentiments to the inside of the heart. I colored the large key with a Silver Uniball and added that below the sentiment. I also added a colored dove to the right side of the frame. I used a white Uniball to add dots inside all of the flowers.
If you don’t feel full of love by now, I might not have done my job haha! I love working on my “one stamp, five ways” posts because they really push me to think out of the box (although I used a box!) and come up with different ways to use one stamp set. This Always and Forever stamp set has so much possibility for not only Valentines, but also for wedding cards and just general love cards! Thanks for visiting! –Suzy

Mixed Media Magic: Craft a Beautiful Floral Heart with Shari Carroll
Love is in the air!! Right? Well my love for Spring is definitely on my mind. I’ve created a small mixed media piece using some Sunny/Valentine’s cardstock colors by die-cutting small flowers and arranging them in a heart shape.
The black painted Vignette box really lets the colors of the flowers pop. This is an easy project to try, especially for beginners, but has the appeal for seasoned crafters.
