Hi friends! Happy Sunday! Please join me in welcoming back special guest Laura Bassen with a pair of sweet love cards to inspire you to create this weekend! She made a duo of using both the positive and negative of the cut out “Luv You” sentiment from our new Circle Sentiments set as well as created a gorgeous tone on tone background using our Buttercream ink and cardstock with our new Harlequin Heart and Outline Hearts background stamps! 3D Aurora Blooms Shadowbox with Rattan Paper-Weaving | Let’s Get Crafty with Caly!
Hi everyone! It’s Caly Person here today!
I have a special shadowbox project to share today that features some paper-weaving! I love 3D flowers so I’ve used the Aurora Blooms set to shape them for 3D flowers on today’s project.
I used the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Shaping Kit to turn the 2D die-cut Aurora Blooms into 3D flowers/foliage.

The weaving part of this project was the hardest part – but it’s so worth it to have a unique background for a project like this. This rattan pattern is a favorite of mine and I’m glad I got to try it and use it on this shadowbox! Be sure to check out the video above to see how it’s done and to get instructions!
After weaving, I ink-blended my die-cuts and shaped them with the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Shaping Kit. I created little flower buds from smaller flower die-cuts. I didn’t add a sentiment to this since it’s not a card – but what do you think? I really didn’t want to cover up the beautiful weave with another element and I didn’t think it was necessary.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you like this project!

Make it Move! A Rainbow Birthday Card Featuring Art Impressions
Hey there friends, it’s Nina-Marie Trapani here with you! I have a bright and happy birthday card to share with you using the So Sweet “Armfuls” Art Impressions set. This rainbow-inspired birthday design features some ink blending, a bit of foiling with glue, and an interactive element—action wobbles!
In this project I used our Simon Says Stamp Balloon Bunch stencil to create the rainbow background—the bright hues look so good paired with the marker choices I made for the elephant’s coloring. I foiled on top of a Flashy Flare embossed background, which adds a great highlight around the rainbow panel! There are other cute embellishments such as chunky glitter on the cupcakes and clear Splash Drops that are placed around card. The sentiment I chose for this card comes from our Simon Says Stamp and CZ Design Birthday Basics set.
Learn more about how I made this happy card by watching the video below!
