NEW for 2025!! Give Envelope Journaling a Try with Shari Carroll
Welcome everyone!!! It’s Shari here with an art journal installment that’s a bit different than the ones I’ve done in the past. This is a combination of a card and a journal.
I’ve put together regular envelopes to create several pages to use as a gift idea for Valentines or other special occasion.
Beautiful Tim Holtz Ephemera was carefully arranged to compliment each page. The unique pockets are ready to hold sweet hand written messages and even gift cards!
I’ve done some simple stamping with the new Distressed Vintage Love Notes using soft tones of brown. Neutral colored papers were used with the Dancing Floral embossing folder and lightly sanded to expose the white core of the design.
A simple ribbon placed under an ephemera panel can be used to tie the booklet together.
Sewing is an option that I love but not a necessity. To see how everything came together, check out my video below. Enjoy!

[How To] Make Gift Boxes for Your Sweethearts: Making the Cut
Hi friends! Happy Wednesday! As always, I’m delighted to welcome special guest Nichol Spohr to our blog to showcase this gorgeous trio of Sweetheart boxes, each with their own creative flair! Nichol is also showcasing the Gina K Designs Intri-Cut Machine in making these boxes and giving a few fun tips and tricks! To make these cute boxes you’ll want to start with our Sweetheart Box as a base and layer on some color or texture with either our Tucked Hearts stamp, Outline Hearts stamp, or Falling In Love stencil, and follow along for the rest of the ingredients for the desired look! I just LOVE how she used our Captivating Keys embossing folder and die set in Gold for such a fun charm on the boxes! Learn more by watching the video and enjoy!
