Colorful Tim Holtz Happy Birthday Pennant Card by Cheiron Brandon
Hi friends! Happy Wednesday! I’m delighted to share this celebratory and happy card design by Cheiron Brandon using Tim Holtz stamps and Simon Says Stamp branded dies designed to coordinate! Be sure to read on for the details and enjoy!
Hi there! It’s Cheiron Brandon and I am thrilled to be here creating a card using some favorite Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous stamps along with the new coordinating dies from Simon Says Stamp. I love this Pennant set and think it looks even better when it is cut out and popped up. There are also dies included to cut out all the coordinating sentiments.
Today I created a really fun and easy birthday card using the Pennants stamps by stamping the Happy Pennant in some bright colors of Distress Inks. I used Mustard Seed, Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet, Crackling Campfire, and Cracked Pistachio. When the ink was dry, I cut the Pennants out using the coordinating dies. I knew I wanted to create a fun “pattern” with these cutouts so I added foam squares to the back of all of them and then arranged them in a pattern on my card. As you can see, I started slightly off center with the first pennant then arranged the other pennants around it, varying the colors and the way they titled with some hanging off the panel. When I was done, I turned the panel over and trimmed off any pieces that were hanging over.
Once the pennants were on, I stamped and die cut my sentiment, then added some Soapy Bubbles sequins to make it even more festive! To complete the card, I adhered the panel to a card base. I can’t wait to try this card again with different pennant and different color combinations.

Fun Pun! Friend Card Idea: Yippee for Yana
Hi friends! Please join me in welcoming back the oh-so-talented and amazing Yana Smakula! (Please note: our dear friend Yana is Ukrainian. To show support to our brothers and sisters in Ukraine, please see Yana’s post HERE.)
Hello, crafters, this is Yana Smakula for Simon Says Stamp! Welcome back for another Yippee For Yana video!
Today I’m creating with a new fabulous Taco ‘Bout It stamp set and making a card for my girl friend (although the sentiments in this set allow you to create a fun masculine card – mar-guy-rita!)
I stamped the margarita glass and limes onto Simon’s Mega Thick #130 cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Next, I colored the liquid inside the glass using BG23 and BG11 Copic markers. I didn’t color the glass, although you can do so by using either very pale gray or blue markers. Since I’m not very good at coloring glass I just left mine white. I also colored limes using YG00, YG03, and YG17. These were super easy!
There are coordinating dies available for this stamp set, so I used mine to cut the images out in my Platinum 6 die-cutting and embossing machine.
To create a background I used colored cardstock. I have 2 cards, both very similar, but they feature backgrounds made in a different way. The easy way is to use 2 shades of cardstock, cut one diagonally and just adhere it to the other panel. The not-so-easy way, especially if you don’t have 2 shades of blue, is done with the help of ink blending. I also ink-blended a shadow for the glass, just for fun, and I have to say – it turned out amazing!
I embellished both cards with Simon’s new Starshine embellishments and called them done! Have fun creating!

Embrace Texture and Color using Simon Says Stamp Embossing Folders in the Latest EZ with CZ!
Hi friends! Happy Monday! I’m delighted to welcome back our special monthly guest Cathy Zielske with a special edition of EZ with CZ! Be sure to read on and check out the video for all the details on how to make this gorgeous and glossy card! Enjoy!
Hello everyone! It’s Cathy Z. back with another installment of EZ with CZ! Today I’m sharing a quick card idea that takes advantage of pre-blended panels and 3D embossing folders.
The Simon Says Stamp Color Blend Cardstock papers are perfect for a quick path to gorgeous color. Plus, using our 3D Embossing folders adds wonderful texture to the panels.
For my card, I used the Rhythmic Waves Embossing folder which features a cool, geometric, repeating pattern. I topped the card with my Just a Note 2 dies, and used another panel of the Color Blend Cardstock to cut out the top layer of the greeting.
For the inside, I stamped a greeting from my Just a Note Notes stamp set in a coordinating color of ink.
Here is my tutorial showing you easy this card was to create:
